Xpelair VX100T-SP 4" / 100mm Single Speed Axial Fan

It is part of the VX100 range and uses a single-speed axial motor delivering approximately 76 m³/h (21 l/s) airflow, making it suitable for standard domestic bathrooms, en-suites, and toilets. The fan is designed to remove humid air and odours efficiently, helping reduce condensation, damp, and mould build-up in moisture-prone areas.

The key difference between the VX100T-SP and other models in the range is its integrated timer function. Instead of switching off immediately with the light or external switch, the fan continues running for a set “overrun” period (typically adjustable from around 2 to 30 minutes) after the switch is turned off. This ensures extra extraction time to clear remaining steam and humidity after bathroom use, improving ventilation effectiveness and compliance with UK Building Regulations Part F.

The “SP” (short spigot) design allows installation in shallow wall cavities or tight ceiling voids, making it especially useful in retrofit situations or properties where installation depth is limited. This compact rear profile helps installers fit the unit where standard-depth fans may not physically fit.

The fan operates on a low-power AC motor (around 12W) with a lubricated-for-life bearing system and thermal protection for reliability and safety. It is rated IPX4, meaning it is protected against water splashes and suitable for bathroom installation when correctly sited in accordance with wiring regulations and zoning requirements.
