Xpelair VX100-SP 4" / 100mm Single Speed Axial Fan

It is part of the VX100 ventilation range and is intended for domestic bathrooms, shower rooms, en-suites, and toilets. The fan’s primary role is to extract humid, stale air from wet areas to help prevent condensation, damp, and mould growth, improving overall air quality and maintaining compliance with UK ventilation requirements.

The VX100-SP uses a single-speed AC axial motor that provides an airflow of approximately 76 m³/h (around 21 l/s). This makes it suitable for standard-sized bathrooms where short duct runs or direct wall extraction is used. The axial impeller design is optimised for straightforward installations rather than long or complex ducting systems.

A key feature of the VX100-SP is its short spigot (SP) housing, which reduces the depth of the rear duct connection. This allows installation in shallow wall cavities or tight ceiling voids, making it particularly useful in retrofit projects or properties where installation space is restricted.

The fan is a “standard” switched model, meaning it is typically wired to an external switch (such as a bathroom light circuit). It runs only while power is supplied and switches off immediately when the circuit is turned off. Unlike timer or pull-cord versions, it has no built-in delay or manual control, keeping operation as simple as possible.
