Xpelair DX150HTS 150mm 6" Square Extractor Fan with Humidistat and Timer

The DX150HTS forms part of Xpelair’s Simply Silent DX range, which combines modern styling with improved low-noise operation and strong airflow performance. The fan features a contemporary square fascia design and is engineered to control humidity, condensation, odours, and mould growth efficiently while operating more quietly than many traditional axial extractor fans.

A major feature of the DX150HTS is its dual automatic control functionality, combining both a humidistat sensor and an adjustable timer overrun. The integrated humidistat continuously monitors room humidity and automatically activates the fan when moisture levels rise above the preset threshold, helping remove steam and excess moisture without user intervention. The humidity sensitivity is adjustable, typically between approximately 50% and 90% relative humidity, allowing installers to tailor operation to the environment.

In addition to automatic humidity sensing, the fan can also operate via an external switch such as a bathroom lighting circuit. Once activated, the timer overrun function keeps the fan running after the switch is turned off for a preset period, adjustable from approximately 30 seconds to 30 minutes. This ensures continued extraction of residual humidity and odours after the room has been vacated.
