The C6HTS is part of Xpelair’s Contour C6 “Simply Silent” range, which is designed to provide high airflow extraction while maintaining relatively low noise levels and a discreet square fascia that blends into modern interiors. It uses a 150mm (6-inch) axial impeller, making it significantly more powerful than standard 100mm bathroom fans, and suitable for larger rooms or areas with higher moisture loads.

A key feature of this model is its dual automatic control system, combining a humidistat sensor and a timer overrun function. The humidistat detects when relative humidity rises above a set threshold (typically adjustable between roughly 65%–85% RH) and automatically switches the fan on to remove excess moisture. Once humidity drops back to a safe level, the fan either switches off or continues briefly depending on settings. The timer function can also be triggered via an external switch (such as a light circuit), allowing the fan to continue running after the room is vacated for a preset overrun period (typically adjustable from around 30 seconds up to 30 minutes).

The fan typically delivers a high airflow of around 216–248 m³/h (about 60–62 l/s), making it suitable for larger bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, conservatories, and offices where strong air exchange is required. Its higher capacity allows it to effectively manage heavy condensation, steam, and odours in spaces where smaller fans would struggle.

The unit is designed for wall or ceiling mounting, with a square front fascia that sits flush and unobtrusive against the surface. It uses a two-speed motor system (selected at installation), allowing installers to balance airflow and noise depending on the application
