The system is designed specifically for effective removal of steam and humidity from bathrooms, en-suites, and shower rooms. By placing the fan unit in the loft space rather than directly in the ceiling or wall, the AL100T helps minimise operational noise inside the room while still maintaining strong extraction performance. Air is drawn through ducting from the room below and expelled externally through a grille, helping maintain good indoor air quality and preventing condensation build-up, damp, and mould growth over time.

The AL100T operates as a single-speed inline fan with an integral timer function, meaning it is typically triggered via a separate switch (such as a bathroom light circuit). Once activated, the fan continues running after the switch is turned off for a pre-set overrun period (adjustable between approximately 2 and 30 minutes). This ensures that residual moisture is fully cleared from the room even after use, improving ventilation effectiveness and compliance with building ventilation standards.

The unit is designed to comply with UK Building Regulations Part F, making it suitable for modern residential installations where adequate mechanical ventilation is required. It is rated to IPX4, meaning it is protected against water splashes, making it suitable for installation in bathroom ventilation systems when correctly sited outside direct wet zones.
