Designed to enhance electrical safety, it disconnects the supply rapidly in the event of an earth fault, helping to protect against electric shock. It features a passive/latching RCD mechanism, meaning it remains set after power loss and does not require manual resetting when supply is restored, making it ideal for essential appliances.
