Danlers Outdoor Switch, Turns Light on at Dusk and off at Dawn

The DANLERS DUSW is an IP-rated outdoor dusk-to-dawn photocell switch with an integrated time delay function, designed to automatically control external lighting based on ambient light levels. It is widely used for security lighting, decorative outdoor lighting, and energy-efficient building perimeter illumination, where lights need to switch on at dusk and either switch off after a set period or at dawn.

It combines a light sensor (photocell) with an adjustable electronic timer, allowing it to respond to both environmental light conditions and user-defined operating duration.The DUSW operates in two stages:

1. Dusk detection (photocell activation)
   • The built-in sensor measures ambient light levels
   • When light falls below the selected lux threshold, the unit switches ON
2. Timed operation
   • Once activated, lights remain ON for a set period
   • After the timer expires, the output switches OFF
   • Alternatively, it can reset at dawn depending on configuration

This makes it a hybrid between a dusk switch and a time lag switch, offering more control than a standard photocell.
