Elkay Outdoor PIR Timer

The Elkay 570A-1 is an IP66-rated outdoor PIR (Passive Infrared) electronic time delay switch designed to automatically control lighting and electrical loads based on motion detection. It is widely used for external lighting applications such as driveways, pathways, building entrances, car parks, and security lighting systems where automatic activation and energy efficiency are required.

Unlike manual timer switches, the 570A-1 operates using an integrated PIR sensor that detects body heat movement, automatically switching connected loads ON when movement is detected and OFF after a preset time delay once no further movement is sensed. This makes it a fully automatic “occupancy-based” lighting control solution.
