Elkay 374B-1 Ceiling Mount PIR Occupancy Sensor
The Elkay 374B-1 is a compact ceiling-mounted PIR (Passive Infrared) occupancy sensor designed to automatically control lighting, ventilation, heating, and other electrical loads based on detected movement. It is a widely used energy-saving control device in commercial, residential, and public buildings, helping reduce wasted energy by ensuring loads are only active when spaces are occupied.
Built as a discreet flush or surface-mount solution, the 374B-1 is designed for quick installation using spring fixing arms and a 64mm ceiling cut-out. Its compact design makes it one of the most unobtrusive occupancy sensors in the range, ideal for modern interiors where clean aesthetics and reliable automation are required.
The unit uses 360° passive infrared detection to sense movement from body heat and automatically switch connected loads on when occupancy is detected. Once movement is no longer present, the sensor will switch the load off after an adjustable time delay, helping reduce unnecessary energy consumption and operating costs.
