Danlers Wall PIR Occupancy Switches (Manually Programmable)
The DANLERS WAPIR is a 2-wire wall-mounted PIR (Passive Infrared) occupancy switch designed as a direct replacement for a conventional wall light switch. Unlike most occupancy sensors, the WAPIR does not require a neutral connection, making it ideal for retrofit installations where only live and switched-live conductors are available. It automatically switches lighting on when occupancy is detected and turns it off when the area becomes vacant, helping to reduce energy consumption and improve convenience.
The unit incorporates a quad-element PIR detector that senses the movement of warm bodies within its detection zone. When movement is detected and ambient light levels are below the selected threshold, the connected lighting load is automatically energised. If no further movement is detected, the WAPIR switches the load off after a configurable time delay. This automatic operation makes it particularly suitable for small offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, consulting rooms, storage areas, and other intermittently occupied spaces.
