Aico EI146E Smoke Alarm Optical

The Aico EI146E Optical Smoke Alarm is a mains-powered smoke detection device designed for reliable early warning of slow, smouldering fires, which are commonly caused by materials such as furniture, electrical faults, or soft furnishings.

It uses a high-sensitivity optical (photoelectric) sensor chamber, making it particularly effective in areas like hallways, landings, living rooms, and dining rooms where smoke from smouldering fires is more likely to build up.

The unit runs on 230V AC mains power and includes a 9V alkaline battery backup, ensuring continued protection during power cuts. It is supplied with Aico’s Easi-fit base, which allows for fast installation and simple replacement of existing compatible alarms.

The EI146E is designed to integrate into wider domestic fire alarm systems and can be interconnected with other Aico alarms, either via hard-wiring or using compatible RadioLINK wireless bases. When linked, all alarms in the system sound simultaneously if one is triggered.
