Aico EI144E Heat Alarm Optical

he Aico EI144E Heat Alarm is a mains-powered heat detection device designed for use in domestic and light commercial fire safety systems, particularly in areas where smoke alarms may be unsuitable such as kitchens and garages.

Built around a reliable thermistor sensor, the EI144E responds to rapid temperature increases and triggers when heat reaches approximately 58°C, providing early warning of fast-flaming fires. Unlike smoke alarms, it is far less likely to be activated by cooking fumes or steam, helping to reduce nuisance alarms in everyday environments.

The unit is powered by 230V AC mains electricity and includes a 9V alkaline battery backup, ensuring continued protection during power outages. It is supplied with Aico’s Easi-fit base, allowing for quick installation and easy replacement or upgrade of existing compatible alarms.

The EI144E is designed to integrate into a wider alarm network, supporting hard-wired or wireless interconnection (via compatible RadioLINK bases), so that if one alarm is triggered, all connected alarms sound simultaneously.
